Life is just beginning…

This year has brought me much joy and sadness, with losing one of my best friends, my mother Katherine of 89 years old, and my oldest brother Fred of 72 years, life still moves forward.  I am so very grateful for my husband, daughter and other family members, many wonderful clients, extraordinary friends and healers.  Without all of these people, I would not be where I am today.

So often I hear people say they are getting old, having aches and pains, memory is going and they are just slowing down and can’t do what they use to do.  Age can be transparent if you have good health.  This is something that I have learned over the past years on my healing journey.  Being tired, sleeping more and not having the energy to do what you enjoy doing can be subtle signs of poor health.  Look for these signs early and address them fast.  Don’t chalk them up for old age.  The body is an incredible machine and if given the correct tools, can stay strong for many years to come.

For the New Year, consider making small changes to improve your health.  More fresh certified organic fruits and vegetables, less processed foods, more quality water, good whole food supplements and watch for GMOs which are making people sick.  And add a little more fun into your life.  Laughter is one of the best medicines and I know it’s on my list.  How about yours?  I’m excited for 2013 and all the joy it has in store for you and for me!  Happy New Year!!!!

Blessed Be, Dena

Treating the Root Cause of Illness Saves Lives!

Less than a week ago our family was told that our oldest brother, Fred, 72, had cancer of the liver and lungs.  Fred had not completely recovered from back surgery a year ago and had been in the hospital three times in the last month as well as in therapy and at the Doctors many times this past year.  But it was only this past week that the doctors diagnosed cancer.  Fred died on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at home.  Many months ago, I found a Naturopath on-line in Erie, PA that I asked my brother to go to see for help more than a dozen times.  But he just wanted to stick with his doctor’s counsel because he felt he could not afford a Naturopath and was unsure their knowledge was better than his MD.

Getting to the root cause of an illness rather than treating symptoms can possibly save lives.  Please don’t be caught off guard with your health.  Eating foods that are closest to nature like fruits, vegetables and grains ,as well as taking care of your body is critical to longevity and wellness.  If you have an illness and can’t seem to get results, try something different.  Natural healers look at illness in a unique way, they treat the whole body and not just the symptoms.  Sometimes when symptoms of an illness appear, illness may have already manifested or is out of control.  A healer can detect imbalances in the body way before symptoms appear.  As Kevin Trudeau writes in his book, Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About,e says, see a Naturopath or Homeopathic Doctor on a regular basis.  Don’t let symptoms linger for very long.  Take your heath into your own hands NOW.  Namaste and may our Brother Fred rest in peace.  He will be missed greatly by family and friends.  We love  you, Fred!  Dena

Misery or Joy, the Choice is Yours!

As I sat with my young Mother of 88 years today, Katherine McCall, we stumbled on to WQED TV and listened to Wayne Dyer.  What an incredible man who has created wellness in his life in so many ways.  Wayne spoke this morning about reprogramming your subconscious mind which really rang home for me.  So many healers and very successful people sometimes have an alternating situation in their life that leads them to a road for a stronger tomorrow.

Is your subconscious mind programmed the way you want your life to go?  Do you want success, happiness, love, health, freedom of frustration? The programming of the subconscious mind directs the weight, shape, health, energy, functions, and actions of your body.  It never stops working, even at rest.  Tell your mind what you want and not what you don't want.  Let go of negatively, ill emotions, fear, resentment, etc - they are not God's way.  Believe that you can get what you want in life and go after it.  "If it feels natural, then it is possible," said Wayne Dyer.

The power of the mind is infinite. Think the thoughts of what you want to change and think them over and over again until they become real.   Use meditation, affirmations, hypnosis and guided imagery to help you reprogram your mind.  If you are in a rut, get out of it now, no one will do it for you.  With gratitude and grace I leave you today with these thoughts. A Life Changing Journey: Gratitude and Grace

Gratitude and grace today and for the rest of your life!  So many times, we find fault in others and things because we are not in sync with each others thought patterns.  Have you found yourself there before?  Rather than finding fault with these experiences in your life, why not shift your paradigm permanently to one of gratefulness.

When you are faced with a situation that is not to your liking, try to say, “I am grateful for this moment” perhaps repeatedly and notice how the situation changes for you as you gracefully step into the present. Words for today and tomorrow: thankfulness, sincerity, cherish, kindness, beauty, elegance, charm, mercy, flow, harmony, gratefulness and divine love. If you have ever encountered "A Life Changing Journey," approach it with a grateful heart and you will find life changing results...

Below are some great links that can help take you to the next level of finding more gratitude in your life. Dave Fiala's program, 'The Power of Your Awareness," is a fantastic course; The Gratitude Log is someplace you can go daily to start your day http://www.gratitudelog.com/login by writing why you are grateful or some of the other links below to help you. Try to humble yourself each morning and hold a 2-minute gratitude session by simply sitting with no distractions, close your eyes, and think about what you are grateful for.   Be Healthy, Dena

Healthy Mind, Healthy Body

Staying healthy involves looking after your state of mind, as well as taking care of your body. Yet, most of us manage our physical health far better than our mental health.  Without both of these systems working together, we can become ill. This means that happiness, or misery, health or illness are choices that we make.  Although disease is a physical manifestation, the root causes of most illnesses is not physical. The true root causes of almost every disease lie deep within every person that is ill.

Worry, anger, stress, jealousy, ill will, rage, irritation, resentment, guilt, depression, anxiety, lack of joy and happiness, plus all other negative emotions and thoughts, will weaken your immune system.  If you are holding negative emotion, let them go.  Four years ago for the first time in my life my very dear friend Barbara introduced me to the books by Louise Hay and Barbara Brennan   I will be forever grateful for Barb and her help.  Other healers that I am privileged to work with, have been fabulous teachers and have helped me identify and heal emotions.  To paraphrase Louise Hay, 'What thought am I thinking right now?  Do I want this thought to create my life?'  To change the mind set the affirmation she tells us is 'Only I create my thoughts.  My thoughts create my life.'

Learning how to forgive oneself and all the people whom you perceived as hurting you are the best remedies for any life issue, be it a chronic disease, an unhealthy relationship, or a difficult break-up. When we release old emotions we cause shifts in our energy field.  We thus rid ourselves of the energy blockages we may have created. This is the reason why letting go of old STUFF can do wonders for your health.  Affirmations, meditation, yoga, homeopathic remedies, working with a professional are just a few ways to help.
